The Inaugural Caribbean Games scheduled for Guadeloupe, 30 June -31 July 2021, featured on the agenda of the first Executive meeting of the Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees (CANOC) held at the offices of the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) earlier today.

The meeting also approved the Terms of Reference of the Working Group on the CANOC Athletes Commission. The Working Group will continue serving as an Interim Committee, ensuring the full establishment of the body and facilitate the first election of officers during the Caribbean Games in Guadeloupe in 2021.

The meetingalso accepted the submission by the National Olympic Committee of St.Lucia to host the annual CANOC Workshop and General Assembly.The CANOC Awards will also be held during the same period in St Lucia.
Executive members heard and approved reports from the Treasurer, Ms. Edith Coxon the finances Ms. Ytannia Wiggins on the social media communications activities and impact.

CANOC Day 2020 activities will be organized using a template provided by the CANOC Executive.

CANOC will explore the possibility of a gathering of its members present in Tokyo during the Summer Olympics, observing the historic Day on July 31st.
